Sitting at the Top of LA

Inspired by this M-line mini, I wanted to play with the angles and triangle shapes for the rest of the look. Tying the front of this grey and white blouse into a knot created more apparent angled shapes at the sides of the blouse. Buttoning up to the collar aided in fashioning more triangular shapes as well.

Location: The gorgeous Griffith Observatory that overlooks the city of LA. A pleasant visit for those looking for some delectable skyline shots.

Blouse: Urban Outfitters.
Skirt: ZARA
Can we just have a moment to talk about how out of this world this Paul & Joe lipbalm looks?! I don't know about you, but whenever I see something this mesmerizing in product and packaging, I. must. acquire. This gel lipbalm is in the most perfect shade of hot pink, wears sheer, and is moisturizing.
And if that weren't enough, THOSE CATS, though.

It's Summer in LA, But I Still Love Black!

Here I am at the beautiful Getty Villa in LA. I'm opting for light, breathable fabrics albeit still going back to one of my favorite fashion mainstays- black! To avoid going all-over black, I lighten up the mood by complimenting the darker tone with gold hues and white stripes.

Black and white button up by Forever 21. Shorts with gold accents by Mystique. Booties by Aldo.

Enjoy!

Mountain Memories

Its my favorite time of the year - Summer! Summer means laying out in the sun, drinking iced drinks, and vacations. My first vacation this season was at a place I hadn't been before -- Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I can't even start to describe how serene, scenic and breathtaking it is to be near the Grand Teton Mountains and Yellowstone. This was a very sporty trip (hiking, roadtrips, safaris, fly fishing!) so I don't have too many cute outfits to post. However, below is an idea of how you can "dress up" an outfit that you can still move around and be active in. Enjoy!

You don't have to break out the sweatpants! You can still be cute in a relaxed outfit. Try a loose off the shoulder top with high waisted shorts. You can pair with flip flops or booties.

Top: Lush (you can find shirts like this at American Apparel or H&M), Shorts: JustUSA, Sandals: Havaianas, Booties: Zara, Socks: Target, Tote: Louis Vuitton

Downtown Jackson, by the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar (where you can sit on saddles at the bar!)

The amazing Grand Tetons

 Whole lotta elk antlers!

Until next trip, Naomi

Emerald Wood Nymph + Anthropologie + J. Crew

This is a gorgeous, airy, and super-easy emerald dress from Anthropologie. The stretchy material and soft cotton texture aids in comfy summer wearing, but the all-over lace detailing adds a dash of sophistication. Perfect for those summer day-to-nights!

Adorning this number is a chunky and fabulously fun necklace by again, Anthropologie! The silver, sparkly greens and blues blend together in the piece so perfectly, it resembles sea glass washed upon a shore.

Finally, these nude strappy sandals by J. Crew will see you through the hotter months. With a bit of heel, these shoes are absolutely chic.
